Locally call - elish mach in bangladesh . very popular in each family , old & young , rich & poor , footpath & five star hotel . it's mean 100% Bangala traditional ,cultural , favorite fish in our country also for south asia , now a days in middle east & somewhere in Europe too.casue over 10 million bangladeshi reside in foriegn . for "elish" bangladesh already got international acceptance . in future have possibilities to be more expensive for export . but government are very care about elish .
When people make curry by this fish, then- what can i say - indescribable testy& delicious food .yes i saying true around the world- if you don't eat yet , pls. don't forget to take test .many kinds of recipe people make as they are mind desire, some where fry , somewhere cook with masala/spice , some where with curry.but in the date of bangla new year (1st boishakh) this fish or curry or recipe is very expensive everywhere .
